Ramez Shamieh

Ramez F. Shamieh is recognized as one of the premier trial lawyers in Texas and Louisiana. He specializes in catastrophic injury, 18-wheeler collisions, wrongful death cases, and all other types of personal injury matters. He has built a trial practice that consistently wins in the courtroom. For more than a decade, Ramez has helped thousands of clients obtain millions in settlements and verdicts.

As a result of his work ethic, aggressiveness, and success in the courtroom, several organizations have recognized Ramez as a leader in the legal community. Mr. Shamieh has been invited to join two prestigious attorney networks: the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. These two organizations feature attorneys who have obtained verdicts or settlements in excess of one million dollars. He has also been recognized as a “Lawyers on the Rise” in Texas Lawyer magazine. This distinction is bestowed upon only 20 lawyers under 40 in the entire state of Texas. Ramez has been named to the Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list from 2014-2020, which includes the top 2.5 percent of attorneys under 40 in Texas. Super Lawyers has also nominated Ramez as one of the Top 100 “Up-And-Coming” Texas Lawyers under 40 in 2020. Hailing from Lake Charles, Louisiana, Ramez relocated to Dallas in 1999, where he has resided ever since. He attended and played soccer at Southern Methodist University (SMU), graduating cum laude from the SMU Cox School of Business. Ramez then earned his law degree from Tulane University Law School in 2007. After graduating from law school, Ramez was hired by McCathern, PLLC, one of the premier trial law firms in the state of Texas. While working for McCathern, PLLC, Ramez handled breach of contract disputes for the Dallas Cowboys Football Club, Ltd., Cowboys Stadium, LP, and the Jerry Jones Family and their related entities. Ramez is currently licensed to practice law in Texas, Louisiana, and New York and is admitted for practice in all Texas and Louisiana state and federal district courts.

Ramez is extremely proud of his Arab roots. Ramez’s father grew up in Lod, Palestine (now Tel Aviv), and his mother was born in Jerusalem. After his father graduated medical school in Egypt, his residency brought him to Baylor University in Houston. When his parents married, they decided to build their home in Lake Charles, where his father has been a practicing neurologist for over 45 years.

Although currently residing in Texas, Ramez accomplished one of his career goals by opening an office in his hometown in 2018. Shamieh Law currently operates in Dallas, Austin, and Lake Charles, Louisiana. Outside of his law practice, Mr. Shamieh is actively involved in a wide variety of organizations, including the Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. He is also proud to serve on the board of the Dallas Galleries for Advocacy (DGFA) supporting fine art in his local community.
