WFAA ABC 8 x Shamieh Law Collin County/Frisco Courthouse with dark blue tint - image from Collin County

During a track meet at a Frisco school in April, one student fatally stabbed another at a track meet. In a letter to parents, Frisco ISD revealed that the courts have issued a subpoena for student and parent information.
WFAA reached out to Ramez to share insights about this developing story, and he was quoted. WFAA quoted Ramez for the potential issues this subpoena, which was sent to potentially hundreds of parents, presents, including details on the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Our firm’s owner and attorney, Ramez Shamieh, who is not involved in the case and is not giving legal advice, says parents still have legal options.
