Laura Novak is a paralegal in our Lake Charles office working alongside Attorney Max Guthrie. She brings over 7 years of experience specializing in Louisiana personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and hurricane/property damage claims. Prior to her career in the legal field, Laura worked in the Illinois State Senate as a Legislative Assistant advocating and caring for underserved constituents in her assigned district on Chicago’s south side. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice with minors in Sociology and Psychology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and is commissioned as a Civil Law Notary in the State of Louisiana.
Laura relocated to Lake Charles, Louisiana in 2016, and is proud to call Louisiana her home. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, reading, volunteering in the community, and spending time with her husband Ryan and daughter Lucy.
